The homeowners of this 1970 home dreamed of an open floor plan for their growing family of 5. The space needed to be stylish with the ability to truly be lived in. Removing the wall between the dining room and kitchen allowed for the connected space they were looking for. At the back of the home was an unused fireplace, tight entry from the garage and a wall that separated the spaces; leaving it feeling disjointed. This area was converted into a dining room connected to the kitchen`s large island, playroom/office and large mudroom. By borrowing unused garage space and rethinking the layout we were able to create a stylish functional flow!
