Parade of Homes
In 1948, the Twin Cities became the birthplace of the original Parade of Homes. What began with just a few homes in one development has transformed into the largest and longest-running home tours in the nation. Each year, we open the doors to hundreds of new construction homes and help Minnesota families achieve their homeownership dreams.
Remodelers Showcase
The Remodelers Showcase was launched as a separate tour in 1984, and showcased older homes that have been remodeled to fit their owners’ needs. In 2000, the Remodelers Showcase was folded into the Parade of Homes and has occupied the final weekend of each tour ever since as a way to highlight remodeled projects across the region.
Artisan Home Tour
In 2014, a ticketed tour of high-end homes was born — the Artisan Home Tour. What began as a single tour each summer grew in popularity and, in 2023, we launched a second Artisan Home Tour in the fall.
Housing First Minnesota
The organization behind the home tours, Housing First Minnesota, is an association of over 900 member companies — builders, remodelers, developers and industry suppliers within the housing industry. Housing First Minnesota is the leading voice for housing and homeownership opportunities in the state.
Housing First Minnesota Foundation
The charitable arm, Housing Minnesota First Foundation, in affiliation with HomeAid America, taps the talents and resources of the association’s member builders, remodelers, suppliers, and volunteers to build, renovate, or repair transitional housing in the Twin Cities area. Each home tour event has some fundraising portion that supports the Foundation’s mission to build safe housing for Minnesotans in need.
Minnesota’s Green Path
Created as a program by Housing First Minnesota in 2011, Minnesota’s Green Path leading energy efficiency and green building program for residential construction in the state. The program offers a new home and remodeling energy labeling and certification program to promote healthy, durable, energy-efficient homes and help homeowners understand the score of their home.
